I can't believe how Kai made me actually think back fondly to Kuro 2. Because Kai is sooo much worse it retroactively redeemed Kuro 2. That Aramis chapter alone was unironically more entertaining than the entirety of Kai. But also the side quests and NPCs were much more memorable. It had much more soul, while Kai is soulless.
