It’s not just about visual clarity. Attacks in souls games and even likes are pretty clear. The issue is that people fucking panic when they see anything even slightly move which is why DS3 started the trend of roll catching and why Elden Ring took it to it’s extremes. Back during the early days you could just circle strafe backstab everything and then in DS3 the knights started to actively move 180 degrees to ensure you couldn’t be braindead on offense. And we still overcame all that. If we keep getting better the devs have to find new ways to challenge us. Sometimes devs will make a dud boss but I’d rather something be challenging than have another Steel Rising or Lords of the Fallen where the bosses are designed by slow niggers that can’t into boss design.
