Do general readers feel annoyed by "tell-don't-show" element like pic related or maybe it's just me who feel annoyed by this lazy way of "how to I let my readers know that this character's father is gone"?
Yes, I know that having to draw one extra page just to show her father is gone is just not worth the effort, hence why I ask this.
