A mostly non-alcoholic drink, that you're then supposed to mix with shochu (or drink it straight if you like). You can make it as alcoholic as you want by tweaking the ratio. When you go to a bar that serves Hoppy, they'll give you a cup of Naka (inside), which is the shochu. Then the Soto (outside) is the bottle of actual Hoppy.
