fpbp. I loved BLAME!, but it didn't need to turn into a high-stakes action thriller. The entire manga could've just been Killy wandering through megastructures, trying to survive, taking on jobs as a merc, and occasionally bumping into Silicon Life trying to kill him, and I would've loved it just as much if not more. If Killy's story ultimately had little sway in the grand scheme of things, it would've magnified the already inconceivably large scale of BLAME!'s world and reinforced its sheer indifference to the last vestiges of humanity.
