Well, I mean for one, look at it. It's just Sableye with a prop, one that fucks with his animation and movement so much that it's just a downgrade. It suffers from the same thing as a lot of megas, in that it's just a "make me uglier" button.
Secondly, Prankster is a much more satisfying ability to work with than Magic Bounce is. Prankster lets you build out a proper support pokemon that can mess with fast sweepers. Magic Bounce is just "lmao, you wanted to use strategies other than straight attack? Oops, try not to be creative next time".
Finally, its not like Mega Sableye stat wise was fun to play with or against. It's just a wall, one that you can't put on a timer with status.
I don't think Mega Sableye is a particularly bad mega in compared to the rest, but like almost all megas, it is just bad in general.
