i think it can be a little bit of both. games like parasite eve, silent hill, kuon, res evil, all went up in price around 2020, but so did the entire "retro" vidya market, or games in general, but when you look at all of fromsoft library trends, you can definitely see that the success of elden ring into the mainstream ontop of the already cult popularity of the dark souls and bloodbourne, brought them a massive amount of praise and attention that has sustained as reflected in their older game's price appreciations. i'm just glad ever grace is still mad cheap, one of my favorites OSTs ever.
