I say this as someone that's against this shit, this is a cope. Same as the incoherent images and lack of understanding fingers that people brought up 3 - 4 years ago with still images. Treating this technology as having maxed out is naive, there's really no indicator we're close to hitting the ceiling yet.
And that's terrifying because it's legitimately just going to churn out ridiculous amounts of slop soon. Like this shit could produce more media in a year than all of human history combined if it really gets good at it, it doesn't need to rest or sleep and can generate images far faster than a human can possibly create them. It has the potential to actually completely drown out the internet and make it impossible to find relevant information or anything actually produced by a human. We should be trying to figure out ways to work around this rather than burying our collective head in the sand and hoping it hits a wall before it gets that bad.
