The Wii was predominantly designed with 4:3 in mind and is effectively a souped up GameCube in terms of specs so I can see it, honestly. There's not THAT big of a leap from Sunshine-Galaxy in terms of graphical fidelity. Plus you have games like Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess, the former of which was originally going to be a GC game but moved up to the Wii.
