I originally set aside learning of Japanese until I got better at art. I'd describe myself as someone with a magical learning ability, but I also get frustrated over the slightest things and am extremely lazy so going through a few flashcards became too much. But this thread almost makes me want to start learning again. I had switched to this nice site called JPDB that has decks to teach you all the words in any given anime or light novel (including some Japanese learning books as good starter decks). All I really need to do is fill my head with vocabulary now because I had become decent enough with grammar. Just learn enough to read one simple manga, and it is pretty much over and will snowball from there. The idea invigors me so much, kanji are also pretty fun and simple to learn. I legitimately enjoy learning a filling my head as much as possible. I also envision learning many other simpler languages after getting a good foothold on Japanese. I need to stop being lazy.
