Even back in the day when I first heard of TWEWY, it was because a KH fansite ran an article about some upcoming (so-far-)Japan-only DS RPG called It's a Wonderful World that had some KH dev crossover. It was riding the coattails of that other more popular series with Nomura involvement from the get-go. And sure, I suppose Squeenix had more presence in the "otaku zeitgeist" back in the year of 2006, but even there it wasn't some smash hit.
