I recently deleted my character to start a new one, so I can offer some insight.
>Main missions are fun, but it's a bitch to find people to play with
>It's a pain that you get a set of different missions if you're honorable or not
>The economy is ass, be super stingy
>Best role to begin with is Bounty Hunter because it's the only on that pays with gold pieces
>If you start with Bounty Hunter, doing an Etta Doyle mission when you start and once when you wanna wrap up for the day is recommended
>Second best role would be collector, it's easy to level up, and there's an online map with everything marked for you
>If you play with shotguns, it's mandatory that you purchase the pamphlet that increases your ammo
>You can also activate the Naturalist first cinematic early to enable Gus and buy his trinkets
>Moonshiner is pretty good, but requires you be a trader first
>Trader is not bad, but until you get the legendary animals from the naturalist role, filling the materials is a pain if you don't enjoy hunting
>Fishing is the fastest and easiest way to level up your health to max
>If you get the trader role, and level up to unlock the hunting wagon, or the bounty hunter wagon for that role, traveling around with those is more limited than the horse, but they don't get spooked by predators and predators don't attack you while you're riding them
That's all I can think right now, I do enjoy solo lobbies a lot, I just to Moonshine sales and collect shit now, with some bounties in between, it's pretty fun
