If I like something significantly enough about a game that's not gameplay like the story/music, then I will look past shitty gameplay. If I don't like anything about it significantly enough then I can't look past shitty gameplay.

Emmrich was a good character with a really solid loyalty quest or whatever. His area was also really fucking cool. Him being a Necromancer really made me wish the game was a proper party based RPG with controllable party members so I could try out those powers. That's what the game is fundamentally missing, the party members should have been the different classes so that you can try all the different abilities without having to change your build around or restart the game. Game was way too casualized and stripped down to actually succeed as an RPG

This. I actually play video games, so I understand that there are countless faults and flaws to be found in most every single one of them. It doesn't stop me from finding things I like though.
