There was no fucking point to it, just random shit like renaming TJ to Toby. The pearl clutching over a failed gaslight and theme is fucking insane. Sam only takes a passing interest in people and has no idea how to properly improv, he gave the fish absolutely nothing to work off of with that cult shit so no wonder the absolute novice improv actors they had on the show had no clue how to handle it.
