Everyone was in agreement that Tom would've and should've won. The scaling to all the other Looney Tunes characters like Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons was ridiculous because it's not like they really shared a verse with consistent enough scaling. And plenty of their arguments relied on using Chuck Jones and the WB animators as scapegoats for their justification for Wile winning whilst handwaving away exactly why Wile would win.
Their reasoning that Wile would win anything he faced off against so long that it didn't involve the Roadrunner was horseshit because Wile has failed plenty of times even without Roadrunner's involvement, scaling Wile's capabilities with Space Jam made zero sense, and their ignoring of the Xianxia stuff to just claim with a straight-face that the "animator's universe" scaled below Looney Tunes was asinine.
Literally all it takes for their arguments to collapse like a house of cards is for any normie to ask "But can't Tom do the same thing too?"
