I own this version. I can't play UMDs anymore because it makes a horrible screeching noise every second trying to read the game. I also had to go into the console and wipe off the screen because dirt easily gets in it.
There is something really magical about seeing the XMB on a handheld but holy shit this is some of the cheapest made technology you will ever get in your lifetime. With those issues I listed and the battery problem everyone seems to have, it has probably aged the worst of any console out there.
