Went to Iceland for our Honeymoon. Apparently my normal smiles for store clerks were suspiciously giddy. The girl manning the hotel front desk actually had to take a second to reboot, I could see it in real time as it happened, after the initial greeting.

I'm an Americanized Slav so I'm fairly low-key and I met only two other natives there that rivaled my rehabilitated slavic cheer. One was an enormous neckbeard gentleman at an eatery manning grilling station who gave me extra lambchops, the other a teen girl at a sports clothing store who sold me a rainbreaker.
