It never even began for urbanism in North America. Even at the peak of pre covid gentrification, less than a quarter of people wanted to live in an urban area, and that is probably still dropping as convenience has reduced the need to leave home. The exurbs are growing fast and there is no sign that is going to stop after 80 years of the similar trend still going.
