Rodeux was sort of a generic sadistic jock kind of bad guy up until his comedic moment getting the crap zapped out of him with Kiyomaro's return, then what you posted, which only works because he's sorting out Chita's issues, rather than pulling a last moment sad backstory out of his ass. Those two parts make the character so much better in retrospect for me, his big multi character fight against Kanchome/Tio/Umagon and Momon is one of the best of the whole series, shit's like Nappa on steroids.
