I wished there was a simple way of fixing Vespiqueen, but Bug/Flying is such an awful typing for defensive Pokemon, realistically speaking the only ways of fixing it would be changing it's type or giving it a regional, which effectively accomplishes the same.
There's a few ideas they could play around with like Bug/Fire, Bug/Psyshic or Bug/Fairy that would make varying degrees of sense for a Vespiquen variant. I don't think a Mega would fix Vespiquen either, ironically enough making Pinsir Bug/Flying was a massive improvement to it, and Scyther is actually fairly decent as an offensive threat, but they are fast attackers, Vespiqueen is a fatass defensive mon.
