I never actually had rage episodes like this at first.
I remember playing hulk and then associating being angry with fun memories of that game.
afterwards, I would want to break furniture when I got very angry as a coping mechanism.
I held back, but it was very unnerving knowing exactly where the coping mechanism came from.
