Zombie Drones are otherwise completely normal compared to regular drones, apart from small chances for things such as terminal lockout. The main difference with Zombie Drones is that their AI has anomalously returned from death, with the AI core rejecting termination, and they develop more complex personalities much faster than regular Worker Drones. All of Tessa's "dumpster pet" drones were Zombie Drones, such as N, V and J. The Copper 9 Worker Drones are an example of regular Drones developing personalities over time.

I think you're getting confused with Zombie Drones and Solver hosts. The Zombie Drone phenomenon is related to how The Absolute Solver managed to manifest on the universe of Murder Drones, but not all Zombie Drones are Solver hosts. Being a host of the Solver is a seperate thing, and that's what leads to the eldritch horror and supernatural flesh growth shenanigans.
