pineapple is easily canned and stored on our spacious starship travis, pineapple will last for years in near perfect condition even back in the old times it would last for at least a decade these days and as we have a warp 5 starship these ones are only a couple months old, practically fresh! come on down to the galley travis after we can play a game of racket ball.
