Not the same thing. El Tigre was killed WAY too early in its life. The show was solid, but it was also clearly one that meant a lot to Jorge Gutierrez since it came from such a personal place. He's never really abandoned the idea of possibly bringing it back somehow, and I feel like the artbook's sales last year should make for the strongest argument why it'd be smart for Nick to look into making Gutierrez's dreams come true.
I'm not against a revival if it's for a series being given a second chance at life rather than one that already had a lengthy run and is clearly only being brought back for easy money.
