Maybe it's one of those situations where "you had to be there when it was happening", but Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, cream, Hendrix were all before my time too, and yet I still loved them immediately. The Ramones however, have always been just meh to me.
I can see how kids don't get Nirvanna but (you had to be there at the time...kinda).
