I had a very close lightning strike which fried my Frontier cable modem, and my router.
Modem wont power on, ac adapter is outputing 12v.
Routers ac adapter is dead. I took the router apart, the dc jack has damaged circuits around it, and there are burn marks on the Ethernet input as well. See attached pic.
I had multiple devices connected to the router, 2 switches, printer, and my main PC.
All those devices are powered on and appear to be working fine, albeit not connected to anything.

How can I test my computers nic? I don't have anything on hand I can plug into it, all my switches are zip tied in place and we'll hidden.

Also, recommended me a new router. I had a tp link c3100. I like tp link and wanna stay with it. I don't need gaymer shit but could go for 2.5g
Budget is $150ish.

See pic related. There are no burn marks on any of the other output ports. Should the rest of my equipment be safe?

Is there a such a thing as a coaxial surge suppressor?
