because fascism is a violent, self-destructing political ideology (and not necessarily an economic ideology like socialism is). fascism is objectively bad for everyone outside of the "in" group, and the "in" group always gets smaller as time goes on.

socialism is a threat to the capitalist status quo, and more people are beginning to realize it, but you'll never get fired for "being a socialist" because it would shine too much attention on it and it may make others reconsider their thoughts on capitalism.

the real question you should be asking is why the US is always taking down communist/socialist governments and installing their own puppets. if communism/socialism was as bad as they say it is, wouldn't these governments self-destruct anyways? really makes you wonder how cuba can provide healthcare to all of it's people and develop things like a lung cancer vaccine all while being a "communist hell hole".
