What a terrible asspull. 0 world building and Fujimoto pulls this out to advance the plot and make Yoru strong. Nothing Yoru gets is earned in this manga. Just name drops the Soviet Union and America were at war this entire time and the US was developing Nuclear Weapons offscreen, but the Statue of Liberty being turned into a weapon and launching a bullet across the sea has no ramifications acknowledged by the World. Apparently the World has remembered the name Nuclear Weapons too even though they were erased?
