I don't care about yuri and I'm not a self inserter but I've noticed that chinese people especially hate anything yuri. They go into full seethe mode at any mention of it. Maybe it's some ancient memory in their DNA of getting cucked by a woman I don't know. For most of us europeans seeing too hot girls kissing we just think it's hot. Chinese people get so mad about it though. Even those who have never been cucked or ever had a girlfriend. I grew up with a couple of chinese friends and it was always the same.
