I feel like novel Misaki is at her best design. More detailed than the anime but also plain in a way. Its difficult to describe, like she is not supermodel beautiful but still beautiful in her "this is a woman" way

I'd say its very good. I read that people complained that manga Misaki is meaner. In general everyone is meaner on it. Yamazaki doesn't care about Satou as much and actually lets him attempt his suicide (or maybe knows him better and trusts Satou to not go through with it) and instead works solo on his game. Misaki is a basket case but I find her more realistic than the anime. Manga Satou is a true pedophile and drug addict who snorts cocaine and watches cp while fantasizing about raping Misaki.
Also it continues past the half point of the anime that had Satou attempt suicide to save Misaki. This one continues their relationship and also shows Misaki's pov and Yamazaki's pov whereas the anime mostly followed Satou's life. I feel like it expands on the universe and even if some things I prefer from the anime, I just take what I like.

Thanks! Still a long way to go but got time and money on my side with a comfy researcher job. In a way I can afford to spend weeks going full neet WHILE getting paid. So living Satou's dream.
