Dad was really interested in astronomy and spaceflight when I was a kid. That along with Star Trek got the gears going.

He's a cool dude and I love talking about space with him to this day. He's a weird combo of space dork and hillbilly biker. He used to cut the sleeves off of NASA mission sweaters. I wish I still had some of those. I remember he had a really cool Galileo Mission sweater with the neck and sleeves cut off.

I got him a Planetary Society membership this year for his birthday. Love you, dad.
