Both those fish are dicks. I know fuck all about walleye but i know a tiny bit about muskies.
They dont like hot water, much above 75° and theyre looking for cooler water, and at 80° and up you shouldn't fish for them because the mortality rates skyrocket.
Theyre the first fish spawning in the back bays come spring, and will love to shallow weed beds main bay in mid spring. Late spring to summer theyre going to keep creeping deeper until tgeyre on deep, ideally patchy weed beds in the main lake or in the mouths of bays. If the water keeps warming theyll move to deep offshore structure like humps and channels. Come fall transition, usually starting in September where i live, they move back to main bay weed beds. As temperature continues to drop tgeyll make their way towards deeper water to overwinter in similar areas to where they go when its too hot.
