The cultural shift requirement assumes that the elite won't just go making these things without our permission like, say, COVID for example. A queen bee has conscious control over which egg she uses and of course which drones she mates with. It's not a far reach to think that geneticists are going to be doing the same with humans in a lab soon, and if it means no more incels and no more genetic diseases, why the heck not?
The queen bee thing is interesting, she picks three different genetic strands of Chad to propagate so that if a disease spreads through her hive, she only loses 1/3 of the hive total. Either way, it's not yours or mine genes that are going through so it's pretty much a moot point to have kids from that standpoint, especially with a 44 yo roastie.
I'm at peace about it because I think a future of free of unnecessary genetic obstacles and shortcomings is pretty cool. So in this case, it's literally "women most affected".
