I had been using bore snakes almost 10 years before learning that they're meant for field expedience and not periodic maintenance. Thankfully, I held onto the factory provided cleaning rod from all those years ago and flushing the bore with CLP for maximal soak and scrub. Never had a better picture of what's actually going on with the bore
