she's half japanese and half brazilian, her mother is at least part afro-brazilian (pardo) since she has frizzy hair like sean, although the mother is the same tone as laura. capcom just didn't really plan out the matsuda family like that, they made sean a smidge lighter in art when they did the matsuda family tree. irl mixed people can have siblings that look much lighter or darker than they are.
