Knowing there is a 99% chance of being rejected and getting nothing out of it is what deters me. I'd ask out any girl if I got paid enough to do it.

My general belief is that approach anxiety is greatly exaggerated. Men aren't afraid as much as they know there is no reward. Pay men 50$ an approach and you would see be uptick and nerds approaching and catching cases.
