Hello, /dbdg/. Today I learnt that despite clearly being filmed and set in England (much like the novel it's based on), Hellraiser (1987) is actually set in America! This is due to the studio believing the movie to be more marketable if it was set in America than England, even though it's never outright said or made clear that it is. This explains why a lot of the characters are poorly dubbed in post production by Americans despite the actors being English.
