my thoughts after a few hours as someone who also played CBT1
>game looks *a lot* better overall. Higher res textures (you could literally count the pixels on some CBT1 textures), higher poly models, better lighting and VFX, more dense and detailed environments. The UI also looks a lot better in parts. Some details still need work though, see how low res Sybille's necklace and ears are in pic related.
>game also runs better, in part thanks to DLSS being added. CBT1 was a stuttery mess that struggled to maintain 60 FPS (and couldn't go higher), CBT2 has a 120 FPS cap and my PC easily hits it with a lot less stuttering (but still some occasional stutters). Could definitely be better still, sometimes I go below 120 FPS even though the game is only using like 50% of my GPU and CPU.
>movement is slightly better but the lack of a sprint button still baffles me
>combat also seem marginally better, I need to try more characters/weapons but I think the recoil and hit feedback are better than before. Still feels a bit floaty though. The lack of a aiming button doesn't bother me personally but the option should be there on PC at least.
Big improvements overall but still needs some time in the oven, I think it has potential though.
