Nah. Anons can and should take pictures in advance of the threads. I'll make this more clear in the next pro tips image I make and while shilling next year's event. The best adventures usually take a bit more prep time than 24 hours notice, and I'd most like to see people share their best adventures with their waifu or husbando from the last year in these threads.
Though I DID suggest people take pictures in advance before the first thread went live, from a practical standpoint, anybody who discovered Tanabata from these threads (or remembered it recently) had only a few days to prep. I expect partially solves for itself next year.

In principle I agree, but in practice, I don't see any good way to police when pictures were taken (especially since we have anons across the globe, and summer looks VERY different depending where you live). I'd rather err on the side of making life easier for anons than making things more difficult by having super rigid requirements.
