I don't really have a huge problem with Finn's silly word usage. The problem is more that the show started to hate him, and you for watching. Late seasons have some kind of under-the-surface angst going on about what the show started out as, and you can read between the lines that it's trying to spite you if you liked what it was.
Additionally, some of the newer plots were so shit, the show was blatantly irredeemable. I remember an episode about a bee falling in love with his arm or something, and at that moment I knew... "this show is never going to recover." And it never did.
