I was reading the Bible, an came across an interesting passage. I think it might have a little to do with the Shadow Crystals. Charity here is also translated as "Love". Line 12 is famous outside of its Biblical context, and has been used in the titles of multiple works.
Of course, Toby has definitely referenced scripture multiple times; for example, the whole thing with "Bitter Tears" is a reference to Wormwood, the fallen star in Revelations/Apocalypse.
