>spend hours autistically researching recipes
>spend ages tracking down ingredients, usually in quantities too big for the recipe you're going to make so they sit in your cupboard for years wasted
>spend hours sweating cooking it (where you could make one mistake and ruin the whole dish)
>by the time you're eating it you've lost your appetite
>break your back washing up all the pots, knives, chopping boards, graters, bowls, plates, cutlery, glasses etc you've used

OR...

>buy a very high quality PREMIUM ready meal like Bigham's or Waitrose 1 or M&S (not Asda or Tesco own brand slop)
>pop it in the oven
>tastes MILES better than what you can make yourself as an amateur cook because it has been created by professional chefs like Bigham, Tom Kerridge or Heston Blumenthal
>cheaper overall because of no ingredient wastage
>easier
>just sit down and enjoy it with a nice expensive bottle of wine and your partner
>no washing up to be done after so you can spend more time with them (perhaps in bed…)

Yep, I know what I prefer.
