My opinion is that it's true when it comes to Denji himself, not so much the rest.
All the stupid faces that are being posted of him, I think it's intentional to make him look more "repulsive". More devil-like. Potentially even villainous.
He's not even really being that subtle about it by pushing the whole "Denji is a devil" thing, multiple times.
