That's really what these threads are actually about, innit? I used to find it really weird that not only are there constant screencaps of offsite social media, but the sheer amount of people here - these days - that seem to have developed alien perceptions of how the world they supposedly live in works, gobbling up manufactured ragebait and engagement farming in a way that suggests they're trying to LARP as being from a civilization they're not actually apart of, and lo and behold, now I realize that it's because of 3rd-worlders who use social media as the closest thing they'll get to living in a 1st-world nation.
