There's a book that was written back in the 16th century that pretty much says this. Many such cases where a trained warrior with technical skill and strategy is bludgeoned to death by an idiot savant with brute strength.
It boils down to being too caught up in your own mind strategizing whilst the brute who is literally mindless wins by sheer overwhelming force and natural ability.
