Reminder that premodern is actually the most balanced out of all existing formats.
There isn't any other format as balanced as this where so many decks can compete and win against the very best of the best.
Not only is it the most balanced but also the most diverse in terms of gameplay since you have decks that range from pure creature aggro like goblins, pure burn like sligh, full on control like landstill or even combo like tinker fling, reanimator, etc. all viable in top tier tournaments.
Premodern's only real downside is the price on some of the cards given that they're limited in existing numbers, but even still if you choose some of the more recent reprints on those that got one, the price on them goes down significantly.
Also, a format where you can legally play cards like Crusade and even gold-bordered cards tells you that JotC can't jew your ass on anything here.
