Good news is I didn't get laid off. Bad news is the team they put me on is total chaos. Requirements change everyday. You can't trust the ticket: you'll just be told "no no no, don't do it that". Sprints are meaningless: they will randomly want you do do XYZ right NOW without regard to when the sprint ends. Basically, just put up and shut up and do what they tell you.
