Humans are very ego-centric. Very few people are able to fully or even partially detach themselves from their ego. Those who do are generally very well developed and intelligent and even they struggle with it. Schizophrenia and other delusional mental illnesses on the other hand, has high incidences in those whose childhood included drug use, trauma, and stress from drugs, malnutrition, and other factors in the womb, and most interestingly, living in a city. Regardless of any genetic factors (being a brown) these things will all lead you to be extra unintelligent as well. When you're already fucked up, poorly developed, and stupid, and on top of that have voices in your head telling you things it becomes a lot easier to believe you're god. Psychedelic drugs do this to a lot of people with narcissistic traits as well, no idea why
