nope, it surfs both ways but only works if youre goofy. The idea is having a longer toeside rail but a shorter heelside with quads for responsive backside turns and to address the the typical complaints of surfing fishes backside. so basically its just a fish for toeside turns and a roundtail for backside turns. not quite sure where the misconception comes form, but basically everyone in the lineup will ask the same thing which is interesting.
