I wonder if Godwyn wasn't supposed to be Ranni's male aspect, since he was singled out as the Night of the Black Knives' target (it's vague whether Ranni knew he specifically would be targeted or not) and it lines up with Marika kinda hating Radagon and with Miquella abandoning St. Trina.
